A little late, I know… But, the latest back wall has been a real work in progress.

March Back Wall at Goodbye Blue Monday

It started with Damian and I beginning the buildings months ago. Then we developed the city last month. This month, I added the Japanese sun and as I was colouring it in, local mid-career artist Tony de Lautour got all anarchistic and started ranting about how I was boring for colouring within the lines. Drinking several bottles of chardonnay (which I have pointed out is pretty gay) he shouted “draw a fucking swastika or something” and sure enough when I got back from the toilet, there he was, teetering on the ladder and drawing swastikas, clouds, zeppelins and UFOs.

Tony de Lautour Draws Back Wall

The next day I rubbed them all out except the clouds and now I have done a c0ollaboration with Tony – which officially makes me a big name artist.

March Back Wall - SKUB - at Goodbye Blue Monday

The end section was done by the gang from UOC Fine arts in preparation for their big party on Thursday. So, a real mish-mash of art, contributing to the best back wall chalkboard in town.
