Dearest reader,
Over Easter we will be closed on Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Monday. While we think being forced to close for religious holidays is silly, it is nice to get a bit of a break. I get to spend some time with my girlfriend and Aine gets to cruise the St Albans Park toilets looking [...]
At 1.14am this morning, several artbombs were let off inside the buildings that make up our back wall. The fires are raging out of control and we fear neighbouring buildings may soon catch fire.
Prime suspects are local mid-career artists and other terrorists who hate us for our freedom.
Watch this space as we take the back [...]
I hope you all get excited by toilet news as much as I do… The walls are now patched, the paint has been reapplied over the graffiti and anti graffiti coating applied over the paint. The door that was kicked in by the skank has been replaced and we believe they are a pretty pleasant [...]
I’m knocking this wee brick wall down on Monday to make space for more seating. If anyone wants the bricks let me know and I will dump them on your driveway. About 160-200 bricks I reckon. 021 353 759.
This month’s hunky bachelor is Josh Clemens Cornelus Maria Van Viannen (yes, that is actually his real name).
Josh’s interests include biology, killing animals, vegetarianism, cricket, winding back the odometers on diesel vehicles and drinking beer.
Theology on Tap is developing into a really interesting forum for discussion in a bar. Monday’s event, entitled “Mind the Gap”, was led by Professor Andrew Bradstock. Attendance was up and we ran out of chairs. Thanks to everyone that helped out with this event.
Tim’s been stuffing stuff. Ruby’s pheasant is finally mounted atop the speaker and I must say it looks vaguely more professional that the budgie.
We are in the market for a horse’s head if anyone can supply us with one. We will pay you in beer.
Well, St Patrick’s Day has been-and-gone. Do you know what St Patrick did? He chased the snakes out of Ireland. Pretty easy task if you ask me. I could claim I chased the snakes out of New Zealand and they don’t make me a saint.
Anyway, I have some concerns about St Patrick’s Day. Being of [...]
Tomorrow is St Patrick’s Day. Being an Irish family, we intend to celebrate it as we always have – by drinking, dancing, singing, arguing with each other and hitting someone in the face.
Please come along and celebrate with us…
From 8pm we will have bands, fiddling, Irish dancing and general hilarity. We guarantee the best St Patrick’s Day [...]
A little late, I know… But, the latest back wall has been a real work in progress.
It started with Damian and I beginning the buildings months ago. Then we developed the city last month. This month, I added the Japanese sun and as I was colouring it in, local mid-career artist Tony de Lautour got all [...]
