Did you know that when we set about creating a bar, the first thing we bought was the pianola. From what I can tell it is a 1920s Aeolian which was fully restored just before we purchased it. The idea was to have a real honky tonkin’ bar with sawdust on the floor and the Entertainer on continuous rotation. Sadly too many wasted munters pounded away at the poor old thing and we had to install a lock. Sadly some drunk ripped the lock off and we had to instal two much bigger locks.

Anyway, where I was headed was that we meant to get a whole heap of Christmas rolls and have epic sing alongs. But they were harder to find than we thought and all we could get our hands on was the racist anthem “White Christmas”, which, considering how PC gone mad we are, was deemed inappropriate .

So, if you have any old pianola rolls filled with Christmas hits (or Irish hits – but that is another posting for another day) we will gladly swap them for beer.
