I took all my clothes I never wear down to the bar and gave them to the locals. They were very happy. Jono got a pair of new/old Vans and threw away the Dunlops he’d arrived in (if you look in the photo you can see the condition they were in). Francois got a stylish shirt from New York which made him smile and talk about France. Mikey got a lovely jersey that he ripped the sleeves off to increase his libidinous potency and Steve got a bag of socks – “That’s exactly what I needed, a Pak ‘n’ Save bag of old, odd socks”.
